Personal Training in Durham

Training built around you.

One-to-one coaching for people who want to get stronger, move better and build fitness that lasts — whatever your starting point.

Personal. Structured. Progressive.

There isn’t one way everybody should train.

Some people want to get stronger. Some want to improve mobility, balance or conditioning. Others simply want to feel fitter, move with more confidence and have somebody experienced guiding the process.

That’s why Personal Training at Krank isn’t based around random workouts or trying to destroy you for an hour. Your sessions are built around you — your body, your ability, your goals and where you are now.

Strength & Movement

Build a body that works better.

Strength is more than lifting heavier weights. Good training develops control, stability, coordination and the ability to move confidently through everyday life.

  • Progressive strength work
  • Core control and stability
  • Mobility and movement quality
  • Balance and coordination
  • Conditioning appropriate to your level
Coaching Around The Individual

Work with your body — not against it.

Training doesn’t have to mean ignoring old aches, limitations or areas that need more attention.

Exercises can be adapted and progressed around how you actually move. That might mean building knee strength, improving hip stability, developing upper-body strength or simply restoring confidence in movements you’ve started avoiding.

The goal isn’t to make training easier. It’s to make training appropriate, purposeful and progressive.

What We Work On

More than just another workout.

Your programme can combine different elements depending on what will move you forward.

01

Strength

Build useful strength with kettlebells, dumbbells, bodyweight, bands and other training tools.

02

Movement

Improve mobility, balance, coordination, stability and confidence through better movement.

03

Fitness

Improve conditioning through structured training, including boxing-based work where appropriate.

Progress That Matters

Train for what you want your body to do.

Progress doesn’t always mean chasing a bigger number on a barbell or leaving every session exhausted.

It can mean moving with better control, feeling steadier, developing more stamina or discovering that things which used to feel difficult are becoming manageable.

Move with more confidence.
Build strength progressively.
Improve balance, mobility and stability.
Develop fitness without constantly feeling battered.
Build consistency instead of continually starting again.
Real People. Different Starting Points.

Personal training isn’t just for one type of person.

Different ages. Different backgrounds. Different reasons for training. That’s exactly why personal coaching needs to be personal.

Why One-to-One?

Because proper coaching needs attention.

Everybody brings a different training history, different strengths and different limitations.

One-to-one Personal Training gives me the time to watch how you move, adjust what we’re doing, progress exercises properly and keep the programme focused on where you are heading.

Personal Training at Krank is delivered through structured ongoing coaching rather than casual one-off sessions.

Before You Start

Personal Training FAQs

A few common questions before you get started.

Who is Personal Training for? +
Adults who want proper one-to-one coaching around their own goals, ability and starting point. You might want to get stronger, improve fitness, move better, build confidence or simply become more consistent with training.
Do I need to be fit before I start? +
No. Training starts from where you are now. Exercises, intensity and progression are adjusted to suit your current fitness, movement and experience.
Do I have to do boxing? +
No. This is Personal Training, not boxing coaching. Boxing can be used as part of your fitness and conditioning if you enjoy it, but your programme can focus entirely on strength, movement, mobility and general fitness.
What if I have old injuries, aches or feel stiff? +
That’s common. Training is adapted around how you currently move, with appropriate strength, stability and mobility work introduced gradually. Personal Training isn’t medical treatment, but the programme can work around sensible limitations and help rebuild confidence in movement.
How often would I train? +
That depends on your goals, availability and what you can realistically sustain. Most people train one or two times per week alongside simple work they can continue outside their coached sessions.
Can I just book the occasional session? +
Personal Training at Krank is built around structured ongoing coaching rather than casual drop-in sessions. That gives us time to build momentum, progress exercises properly and actually work towards something.
Is the gym busy while I’m training? +
No. Krank HQ is a private coaching facility rather than a busy commercial gym. Personal Training sessions are by appointment, giving you a calmer environment to train and be coached properly.
How do I get started? +
Message me first. I’ll ask a few simple questions about what you’re looking for, your training history and what you want to improve. If Personal Training at Krank looks like the right fit, we’ll take it from there.
